Boom Supersonic
The brief was to create a natural fragrance that would enhance the iconic premium passenger experience for Overture, the newly developed fastest passenger airplane in the world. An olfactory experience that would fit into the multi sensory design of the cabin, optimised for comfort, wellness, and productivity. The Overture will have its first flight scheduled in 2027. The scent will be first presented during the Paris Air Show 2023.
"The olfactory experience during the flight, directly connects to the ever changing rarefied hues in the expanding light at the horizon, when looking out of the window. Scent is, by definition, weightless, immaterial, and yet impacting our feelings on a deep level. Evoking a deeper sense of comfort and wellbeing and coloured in subtle hues of blue and beige, the olfactory design represents a weightless, unbounded, ‘out of body’ experience."
